We are so excited to be hosting the world-renown bird and exotic mammal trainer Barbara Heidenreich at Synergy!

Barbara owns and operates Good Bird Inc (www.GoodBirdInc.com) that provides behavior and training products to the companion parrot and small mammal communities (www.BarbarasFFAT.com). These products include training supplies, books, DVDs, and animal training workshops. Barbara has been a featured speaker on animal training on six continents, over 20 countries and has been published in nine different languages. She is a former president of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators and served on the Board of Directors from 1997-2009. In addition, Barbara consults at zoos and national refuges across the world to help reduce and resolve problem behaviors in their animals.

One of Barbara’s chief missions is to help parrots and their people form closer bonds with each other through understanding bird communication and using bird-friendly training.

Topics that that will be explored in this workshop will include bird body language and communication , what is bird-friendly training, and how can this training be used to help your bird learn new skills and build even more trust with you. Live birds will be present to demonstrate concepts and training.

Fee: $150 per person, space is limited (Includes snacks, lunch, and any handouts).

• Cancellation: Before December 15, 2015 – the full amount minus $20 processing will be returned. The  fee is non-refundable after December 15, 2015.

Continuing Education: IAABC: 8 CEUs; Oregon Veterinary CE – 6 credits
