Client Care Coordinator

Synergy Veterinary Behavior is a veterinary behavior practice in Portland, OR. Our passion is preventing and treating clinical behavior conditions in dogs, cats, birds, and other companion animal species. We are dedicated to promoting and strengthening mutual understanding and respect between people and the animals that share our lives.

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist / Client Care Representative to take ownership of the front desk and associated tasks. This position requires someone who enjoys interacting with people in person, over phone and via email, as well as being able to thrive in an evolving small business environment.

This is a full-time position, and our practice is open Sundays through Thursdays.

Required Experience:

  • At a minimum, a high school diploma
  • At least 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and common online applications is required. Experience with Ezyvet practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Being the initial point of contact for potential and current clients, as well as pharmacies and referring veterinarians
  • Managing scheduling appointments for the Behavioral Veterinarians, Veterinary Team Members and Training Staff
  • Processing transactions of services and products, in addition to assisting staff and clients with invoices and insurance needs
  • Requesting, preparing and filing patient records using veterinary practice software and other associated programs. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a computer.
  • Routing phone and e-mail messages to appropriate team members
  • Scanning, faxing and other office and reception-related duties
  • Occasionally preparing, mailing, and scheduling pick-ups for in-clinic prescriptions
  • Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness for clients and patients
  • Assisting as needed with room preparation for patients
  • Staying up-to-date with Synergy’s evolving services to adequately answer potential/current client inquiries
  • Assisting other Synergy Team Members as needed

Location

This is an on-site position in NW Portland, with potential remote duties in specific circumstances. If working remotely, access to high-speed internet is required.

Compensation: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour. Benefits include PTO, health insurance, continuing education allowance, uniform allowance, and more.
