What to Expect From Your Veterinary Care Consult
During your consultation, Dr. Valli will develop a personalized plan based on your dog’s individual needs, comfort level, and challenges. Your plan may include strategies to help your dog:
- Become more comfortable with routine handling and veterinary procedures
- Return to their primary veterinarian with a plan for lower-stress care
- Find a new veterinary provider if a different care environment may be a better fit
- Gradually build tolerance for specific procedures that currently cause fear or distress
Progress often takes time, so follow-up appointments with Dr. Valli or our trainers may be recommended. Your plan can be adjusted along the way based on your dog’s response and progress.
This consultation focuses specifically on veterinary and grooming-related care. Because stress in one area can affect behavior in others, additional behavioral concerns may influence your dog’s treatment plan. If your dog is also experiencing challenges such as aggression, anxiety, reactivity, or other behavior concerns, a more comprehensive Behavior Health Assessment may be a better starting point.

To get started, complete the Vet Care Consult Form. Our team will contact you after submission to schedule your consultation and collect the $325 reservation deposit.
Follow-up care may include:
- Shorter follow-up appointments with Dr. Valli to review progress, discuss medication trials when applicable, and make adjustments to your dog’s plan
- Behavior Therapy Sessions with our trainers to help your dog practice and build comfort with recommended handling exercises
Behavior Therapy Session packages vary based on your dog’s needs and recommendations. A typical starting package includes six 30-minute sessions for $660.
